Redemption Bourbon ReviewRedemption Bourbon
Redemption Spirits, located in Philadelphia, PA, is a small liquor company whose strategy is to focus on building niche liquor brands through primarily word of mouth and viral marketing. Rye whiskeys, made with at least 51% rye mash, tend to have a distinct flavor and are noticeably less full-bodied than bourbons, which are made with at least 51% corn by law.
Buy Redemption Bourbon
Initial taste was dominated by the spiciness of the rye and gave way to the sweet finish indicative of a bourbon. Pine, fruit jelly, apple skin, sweet granola, cinnamon chewing gum, sharp lemon, shortbread whipped vanilla cream. Bottled at 92 proof the dry spiciness of the rye balances the sweetness of the corn for a really wonderful sipping experience on its own or in classic cocktail recipes.

The Macallan spends more on sourcing, building, seasoning and caring for its casks than any other single malt whisky. Red gold color with thick legs. Brightly spicy nose, with red fruit and cinnamon. Middle weight, with sherry at the brinning, going into a bourbon/horehound sweetness. There’s a light brush of smoke here, but one suspects it is from the char on the bourbon.
