Marisco The Kings Bastard Chardonnay ReviewMarisco The Kings Bastard Chardonnay
Home to most of New Zealand’s Sauvignon Blanc plantings, Marlborough has seen a few ups and downs in recent years, although things are definitely on the upswing these days. And Marisco Vineyards (which Marris runs with his wife) has a fair bit to do with it. Top quality oaked chardonnay from the Brent Marris stable. 2009.

Color Pale gold. Aroma Ripe melon, peach and fig with fresh brioche. Palate This wine is complex & full. It has a wonderful palate that is structured with layers of fig and cashew supported by subtle oak spice. It is a wine of depth and flavour with a lingering palate of rich ripe tropical flavours. This wine carries the hallmarks of a quality chardonnay from Marlborough.
