Lillet Blanc reviewLillet Blanc
Lillet, established in 1872 in the town of Podensac, South of Bordeaux, is an aperitif wine, a blend of Bordeaux wines and citrus liqueur. Lillet is matured in oak casks and available in red and white versions. A light, breezy apéritif for white wine lovers.
Buy Lillet Blanc
Lillet should be drunk chilled or on the rocks with an orange peel or slice of lime. It is best served in a traditional Bordeaux wine glass, to enhance its subtle delicate bouquet. It can be enjoyed anywhere, on any occasion. The Vesper: James Bond Martini. 3 oz London Dry gin, 1 oz vodka, 1/2 oz Lillet Blanc, 2 dashes angostura bitters. Shake with plenty of cracked ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and twist a large swatch of thin-cut lemon peel over the top. Shoot somebody evil.
