Greenore Irish Whisky ReviewGreenore Irish Whisky
Greenore is produced at the Cooley Distillery, which is now part of the Kilbeggan Distilling Company. Teeling set the Cooley Distillery up at Ceimici Teo Distillery in Dundalk. Cooley is one of only three distilleries still operating in Ireland and home to many of our favorite brands, including Tyrconnell and Connemara.

Greenore is an extremely unique whiskey, being the first single grain whiskey ever released in Ireland. The grain make-up of this whiskey is 93% corn and 7% malted barley, and it’s aged for 8 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. The corn used to make Greenore comes from the USA and lands at a deep water port in the nearby village of Greenore, hence the name. Complex fudge, mocha, tropical fruit, coriander and mint. Medium long finish with vanilla and oak shining through.
