Magister Bibendi Graciano Riserva Rioja ReviewMagister Bibendi Graciano Riserva Rioja
Old school Rioja at it’s very best. This wine was made by hand-selecting Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes at the time of harvesting. After destalking, the grapes are macerated for thirty days and then lightly pressed. The wine is aged in oak barrels for twelve months and racked every three months. It is an ideal choice for all types of meat, especially red meat, game, free-range poultry, rice and pasta dishes.
The wine is a beautiful ruby red, soft and velvety in the mouth, with good tannic structure. The long sensuous finish is very pleasant.

Mature red fruit, oaky, smoky , spicy taste with touches of vanilla. “A vegetal character to the nose, while on the palate it is lovely. Fresh, tannic and serious, it is made for the long run. A very different style that is persistent and will not please everybody, but it is definitely worthy of praise. SJE: Fine oak aromatics surround this with, twinned with ebullient red fruits and a lift of vanilla. It is super juicy in the mouth and tapers on a fine leafy finish. Extraordinary that this is 100% Graciano! PM: A 2010 Reserva with style and intrigue. The mature, exotic flavours make for a lively palate; it is sappy and interesting with a mouth-watering finish. Really original.” –Rated 95, Decanter
