Bodegas Teso la Monja Almirez 2010 reviewBodegas Teso la Monja Almirez
The vines for Almirez, situated in Valdefinjas, Spain and Toro, are 15 – 65 years old. Teso la Monja uses only organic fertilization, and strictly avoids the use of herbicides or other chemical products. With Toro wines you get intense, exuberant fruit, good acidity… big wines, but with good freshness and balance.

A lively wine, balanced to reward aging, but tastes great now as well. “This fabulous, inky/purple-colored wine exhibits notes of violets, graphite, licorice, blackberries and cassis. Full-bodied and rich with silky tannins as well as abundant minerality, this super-rich, full-throttle 2010 can be enjoyed over the next decade.” -Rated 94, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
